WINTER WAR

HOW'S THIS GOING TO WORK?

We are dubbing this Phase 1 of our Winter War Range. These models are lovingly sculpted by Bill Thornhill of Lost Heresy. The models are full of character and we will be making a very thorough range over the next year.

We will be offering our Winter War products in several different mediums. The main squads will be offered in both Metal and Siocast Plastic. The smaller squads and sections will be offered in a mix of metal, plastic, resin and 3D print. We are choosing the material that gives us the best performance specific to the models. Plastic tanks are on the menu too!

Phase 1 will include the basic squads, platoon leaders and weapons sections.

Phase 2 will be vehicles, artillery, crews and some of the odder units seen during the war. Dave really wants the T-26 and T-28 bridge layers!

Phase 3 will be all the a nice close out of the project were we fill a lot of the gaps that remain. Yes... we will do the reindeer.

DIGITAL CROWD FUNDER

During mid to late October, we will also be running a Digital Crowd Funder for the .STLs of these great new products. We are choosing this method because we want to have the best reach for the digital files in the range and be able to develop some new items as we progress.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PHYSICAL PRODUCTS?!?!?

We want to be able to avoid the delays associated with physical fulfilment by doing the pre-work and having the physical items available now. To simulate the discounts on the physicals we will be offering a 15% website discount on the physical Winter War products through October. The physicals follow all the normal shipping rules in our webstore including Free Shipping for US orders over $100!

METAL FIGURES YOU SAY!!!

The metal figures are monopose and offer the heft that a lot of gamers enjoy. We really wanted to offer these models so that you had an option for a more 'premium' product that takes us back our early days of gaming. We know that you may only buy one or two of these and opt for the more economical plastic product, but we love having options!

In today's world, all the new options of plastic and 3D prints make it a very viable solution for making lots of kits for the economy minded gamer. And we know that 'Quantity has a quality all is own!' The details we have been able to obtain with nylon injection are simply amazing. We will also offer numerous head options via 3D printing. This is the best way to achieve variety of models.
